Shop for heels at the end of the day.
This way, your feet will be tired and swollen when you try them. So basically, you’d be buying heels that would fit you just fine in the worst conditions of your feet as well. And you’d be soo much more comfortable when you really do wear them!
Tape your third and fourth toes together.
Reason: A nerve that splits between those two toes causes pain when pressure is put upon it. The tape removes strain on the nerve and prevents the pain!
Soften the inner part of your heels.
Apply petroleum jelly inside your shoe and leave it overnight.
Another method is to apply coconut oil for 3 nights to soften them.
Inserts / In-soles
Add more cushion to your heels buy adding in-soles or inserts that you can get anywhere, even at the store you bought the heels from.
Check heel placement
Go for shoes with heels placed directly under the center of your foot’s heel (left), not at the very back of the shoe (right). This will add more stability while you walk.
Lead with your thighs while walking.
Do this so your entire leg moves forward at once with longer steps. It takes practice, but you’ll find yourself putting less pressure on the ball of your foot this way.
Choose thicker soles / Choose thicker heels
Avoid thinner soles. Pick heels that have platform soles or a thicker base. If you really have problems with heels, then avoid pencil heels no matter how good they look. Go for thicker ones like block heels.
